It is 1-Key Help function that calls a help of HSP commands by a button with edited string in script editor.The way is that you only move a caret ( cursor position in editor) on a keyword which you want to look for and push [F1] key.
An explanation of matched command , a meaning of parameters and so on will be shown. If it doesn't match any keyword, a keyword search help will be shown in alphabetical order.
This function is useful when you look for what sample scripts do or you can't remember a detail of command.You can choose how to show 1-Key Help. Default setting is HSP Help Manager. If you use HTML help, HTML files must be related to browser.
HSP script editor is corresponding following 4 ways to show help with HTML , Windows HELP ,HSP Help Manager and so on.
1. HTML
You can set it from a menu of [Help]->[Help preference] on script editor.
Show a standard HTML help. Need help file which extension is htm at appointed directory.
2. Windows HELP (optional)
To show a Win Help is standard of Windows. A standard of HSP doesn't correspond. But you can see a help made by user. It corresponds reference on keywords. HSP.HLP is needed at appointed directory.
3. HSP Help Manager (optional)
Call help manager supported since HSP 2.5. HELPMAN.EXE, index data ( idx file) and help data ( hs file) are needed at appointed directory.
4. Windows HTML HELP (optional)
Show a help with HTML Help which is standard of windows98. A standard of HSP doesn't correspond. But you can see a help made by user. It corresponds reference on keywords. "HSP.CHM" is needed at appointed directory.
There are help data at directory named "hsphelp" which is under script editor ( HSED2.EXE) . If you want to move it to other directory or you see an error when you see it, you chose a menu of [HELP]->[Help preferences] and please configure directory of help data again (for example "c:\hsp24\hsphelp" and so on).
When that path is blank, HSP refers a directory named HSPHELP under "HSED2.EXE".
